1. Overview

NOVARI (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a spatial workspace app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. NOVARI is designed to keep most of your data in your own browser rather than on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create your session. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Calendar access (optional scope).If you use NOVARI’s reminder/calendar feature, we request permission to create events on your primary Google Calendar. We only create events you explicitly ask NOVARI to create (e.g., a reminder tied to a task). We do not read, browse, or export your existing calendar events, and we do not use this access for any other purpose.

Your workspace content. Notes, boards, spreadsheets, and other content you create in NOVARI are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB). We do not upload this content to our servers unless a specific feature (like calendar sync or email reminders) requires sending a specific piece of data to complete that action.

Feature-specific data. If you use the email reminder feature, the recipient address and message text you provide are sent through our email server solely to deliver that message. If you add an RSS/web feed, the URL you provide is fetched server-side to retrieve its content for display in your workspace.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above only to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your signed-in session
  • Create calendar events you explicitly request
  • Send email reminders you explicitly request
  • Fetch and display RSS/web feed content you add
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties except the service providers strictly necessary to operate the features above (e.g., Google, our email delivery provider).

4. Data Retention

Session data is retained only as long as your login session is active. Workspace content lives in your browser’s local storage and is under your control — clearing your browser data removes it. You may disconnect NOVARI’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

5. No Guarantee of Data Integrity; Assumption of Transmission Risk

Some NOVARI features (such as calendar sync, email reminders, and feed fetching) require certain data you enter to be transmitted to or through third-party services in order to provide their functionality. You are solely responsible for deciding what information — including any sensitive, confidential, financial, health-related, or personal information — you choose to enter into NOVARI or send through these features.

Neither NOVARI nor its creator(s) warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or integrity of any data you enter, store, or transmit through the app, and neither is responsible for any corruption, loss, alteration, interception, or misuse of that data, including data lost due to local browser storage being cleared, sync failures, or issues with third-party services we integrate with.

By signing in and using NOVARI, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of transmitting information over the internet and through third-party integrations for the sake of the app’s utility, and you agree that you do so at your own discretion and risk.

6. Your Choices

  • You may decline the calendar scope and still use NOVARI’s other features.
  • You may revoke Google access at any time via your Google Account settings.
  • You may request deletion of any server-side data we hold by contacting us below.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices (encrypted sessions, server-side-only handling of access tokens) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

NOVARI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
